Happy End: once the home of the Friendly Oatmeal Factory, now a long-forgotten ghost town in the middle of nowhere—and an unintended stopover for six best friends who are about to discover the true meaning of terror.

The Oatmeal Man is a comedy / horror (horromedy?) film written by yours truly and directed by Sean Gordon for Pulsar Pictures. The movie has an October 2014 release date—which is quite a pleasant surprise considering the whole thing was originally thought up as a joke. Joking aside, though, The Oatmeal Man is, at its core, a story about the quirks of friendship. You’ve got the smart-alecky brother / sister couple, the dreamy couple, the torrid love / hate couple; you’ve got them taking a road trip to Las Vegas; you’ve got them having engine trouble along the way and having to stay the night out in the middle of nowhere—you’ve got oatmeal. Gobs and gobs of oatmeal.

You’ve got to be kidding.

It’s pretty much done, boxed, and bow-tied. All that remains is the distribution deal, and I think that hinges on how soon we can get a crow bar and ski mask. :p
